Getting started
Go from download to a comfortable Termy setup in a few minutes.
1. Install the app
Download the build for your platform, install it, and complete the first launch.
macOS builds are not signed yet. If macOS says Termy is damaged or refuses to open it, follow the one-command fix in Troubleshooting.
2. Confirm the essentials
On first launch, Termy uses your login shell and a system monospace font. Open
Settings with Cmd , on macOS or Ctrl , on Linux and Windows.
| Check | What to do next |
|---|---|
| Shell opens correctly | Continue to daily workflows |

| Shell or working directory is wrong | Open Terminal behavior |
| A shortcut conflicts with another app | Open Keybindings |
3. Learn the command palette
Press Cmd P or Ctrl P. The palette exposes Termy's actions without requiring
